This video is taken at Kerry town court yard. I tried to show the transition of time from morning to sunset. However, Fortunately, I could also catch the change from clear weather to cloudy weather. Like what you see at 0:17, this place is a very good place to notice the change of time because the walls and the shadows of the trees always make beautiful scene whenever the sun goes down. Plus, I also wanted to focus on the atmosphere and how the lamps play an important role to make a good mood here. At 0:40, the video starts to represent that it is not morning anymore, but it becomes a cloudy sunset. When the sunset begins, the lamps turn on, and these bright orange lights are reflected into the leaves, trees, and walls making all the stuffs in courtyard orange. These orange lights might make people in the courtyard feel nostalgia, and because of that, this space would be a good place to enjoy the autumn atmosphere.

Not only the change through the time and weather, but I also focused on <How this space interact with people>, and <How people actually use this space>. For that, I paid attention to the doors that is surrounding or connecting this courtyards and how people come and go through the doors in courtyard. I could know this space is a lot “open” place than other courtyard (such as the courtyard in Art and Architecture building on north campus), because people can enter into the Sweet waters entrance, and also, there is another door of the left building near the lunch room which connected to Kerry town market. People can go out from that door and enter into the lunch room building or the building on the right side or wherever place. People in this space can go anywhere. (The lunch room might cook their food with the fresh ingredient from the market.)  That means that this courtyard functions as a passage which connects three buildings (left, right and the back buildings). That is the reason why this space is always filled with people (or dog). People just come, rest and talk with other people even though they do not buy anything from the three buildings surrounding this space. For that special feature, I intentionally left the real voices of the people in the video and made it as a background sound because this space, different from other spaces, really co-operate with the “people “ who come and go through this place. I used the bell and car sound for the vivid realism.
